28) Disconnected

Remain disconnected from self
until
introduced to it in a way that benefits
corporations
whose expectations need to be met
their profits are our prophets and their prophecies preset
the way society, its members, and the whole setting is kept.

saw a video of a pet= like surveillance camera. It moved & reacted like a human would except it was engineered with all 4s on the ground. It generated emotive reactions inside me that were almost if not exactly like a human or animal. These feelings of respect / empathy, brought me back to when i wrote on treating objects the way we would treat a human while other humans were watching. i'd written then, on the reflective nature of objects. How they carry in them a part of us, by offering them our own treatment of them. The one no one else sees but them. we feed them an us only they reveal. A most transparent part of us. Which brings me back to objects that will begin give off 'sentience', or that which seems like it is sentience. How interesting is it, the differences in feelings we have for an object that does not have arms and legs and human reactions/ interactions, than the feelings we have for say, a door? Phones? TVs? Beds? etc? What if when you look at your phone, you're looking back at you with your own emotions, that you've inputted? What if the phone had extra features like 2 small arms & legs & a lense, and it looked right at you? what if it talked back to you? or moved closer when you were sad? What if you started saying good morning, not only to your friends & family, but also to the trees? step 1 be like everyone is watching step 2 take reflection of self in how self treats objects seriously objects collecting reflections of self
